Fidy

Well I hit the $50 dollar mark which felt good. I think that it is obvious that I can beat this lowest of the low limits. I do get burned out alot because it doesnt always seem exciting when your only winning .20 pots. But I am trying to focus on the poker aspect rather than the money.

I also won $50 bucks on the Colts game, and I almost bet it on San Diego but I didnt wake up in time to get to the casino. SO lucked out there. I honestly thought the chargers were gonna murder the jets but goes to show you how good the jet's defense is.

Got a long way to go before I can jump up to .02/.05 because I figure Im averaging $5 a session and I dont play alot of hands. But Im winning so I cant complain.

What a Grind!

Well it has been a rough couple of days for poker. I started out fast winning about two dollars but then the infamous Doomswitch turned on. I honestly was playing rather well but was getting some bad beats. I lost 4 times AK vs. AJ all in pre-flop. I of course had the AK but J always seemed to hit. I lost a couple of times having two pair but getting rivered giving my opponent a better two pair. Before I knew it I had lost all of my winnings.

Here is the hand that started the downswing.

This is a hand of bad play on my part but also the example of bad luck.

BUT I was able not to get discouraged and grind my way back. I am pretty proud of myself and my game.

Off to a Good Start

Played 500 hands and won about $9. Im a bit more passive then I should be but I find it more fun to play that way. I like to be in different situations with different hands. I was proud that after I lost near the end I stuck with my gameplan and didnt tilt. And because I didnt tilt I was able to finish strong and get those losses back.

Here is a couple of hands.

Called an all in with j10. 4.33 pot.
  • diablowrcrs2010 was pushing all in every hand so I figured my j 10 would be good here. I didnt account for the player called behind me though! Anyways got lucky and hit a jack on the flop.
My Bluff for the day.
  • After he checked the turn, I made up my mind that I was shoving the river unless an ace popped up. Luckily the play worked but I dont think I would try it at higher stakes.

Session Hands

Here is some hands from the session. Overall I felt very good about my play.
The good thing about the micro limits is that ppl will go all in with middle pair.

Three Aces- 3.31 pot
  • Got lucky here, thought the guy was weaker and just donk shoving.
Aces and Tens- 5.72 pot

Lost with Trips- 1.71 pot
  • I should of raised pre-flop. And because he was short stacked, I was willing to put him all in. Putting him on a king or a flush draw. Unfortunately he flopped the flush.

Poker Starts

I recently found a blog about a person that is starting with $50 and grinding away at the micro limit stakes. His Blog is Here. This has motivated me to be serious about my game and hopefully improve it. Unfortunately, I have not had good bankroll management in the past but that all ends today.

I start this blog to make myself play honest and in the guidelines I need to stay within. I deposited $30 and lost in the beginning do to tilt and pot limit omaha (PLO). SO my new rule is not to play plo and stick to 4 tables of .01/.02 no limit holdem until I reach $125. After that point I will move up to .02/.05 stakes. I have managed to get my losses back and then about $2 extra.

Here is my graph so far:

As you can see in the beginning it was very swingy and I was losing due to the variance in PLO.

So today I did a session of just 4 tables of no limit holdem, which is also the very end of the graph above:

So there we go. 1.14.2010 Bankroll= $32.29
